Prolific Beyond Belief

Whether you love or hate him, Ryan Adams has to be the most prolific artist alive right now. He put out a double album earlier this year called Cold Roses. You can listen to each of the songs here. Standout tracks include Sweet Illusions and If I am a Stranger. In addition, he just released an album called Jacksonville City Nights which sounds more like country music and has many standout tracks. You can listen to this here. He is planning another release before the end of the year.

Clap Your Hands Say Yeah

The vocals remind one of David Byrne (or perhaps a cross with Thom Yorke) and the guitars of Luna or perhaps the Talking Heads, the band Clap Your Hands Say Yeah has emerged once again from the fertile grounds of Brooklyn in New York City.

Apparently they are still unsigned, although they toured this summer with The National, the new album Clap You Hands Say Yeah is definitely available on Rhapsody. They have two songs posted on their website for downloading Upon This Tidal Wave of Young Blood and Over and Over Again. Here is the review from Blender. You will either love or hate this band based on the vocals. Apparently, they have sold over 25,000 albums but since they do not have a deal they are hand mailing each and every copy.
