Cat Power

I'm neither a Cat Power fan nor a detractor. I liked the song (Nude as the News) she had on the What's Up Matador? compilation years ago, and I've generally liked other songs that I've heard on RadioK, but I've never been tempted to buy an album. With the release of her latest album, The Greatest, that hasn't changed, but I did download Could We, one of the standout tracks, from eMusic. RadioK played it recently and I was struck by how much it reminded me of Dusty Springfield. I can predict, with near absolute metaphysical certitude, that Steve Malloy will like this song, if he hasn't already picked it up. And you will, too.
